Once again I want to thank you for helping us out of our dire situation. We had our hearts set on a wonderful set of living room furniture and due to unforeseen circumstances, were left without a hope of obtaining it locally. After much searching through our various furniture emporiums and outlets, talking long distance with our deserted furniture manufacturers and perusing and evaluating multiple online local custom builders, we had you into our home and lives.

It has been three weeks since you came to our house to discuss the possibility of custom crafting several pieces of furniture for us. During that time, you have never been anything but gentle, reassuring and kind with us. You looked at our desired furniture online and the pictures we had of the designs we longed for and said, "That would be no problem." After much discussion of size, desired woods, stains and styles, the decision was reached that you would indeed be the fulfiller of our dreams. In addition, you gently encouraged us to see beyond the mundane and add the finishing touches that would make our new pieces outstanding.

What a wonderful job you have done! In less time that projected, you were able to construct and complete several units for us. The four piece entertainment center, which stretches thirteen feet across a main wall and soars over eight feet toward our cathedral ceiling, the wonderful credenza which graces the entry view to the room and the matching enclosed bookcase are all wonderfully crafted, beautifully finished and will be a lasting testament to the extreme joy and pride you place in your workmanship. You never once made us feel uncomfortable in handling our questions and frequent calls to check progress. Your professionalism in handling and installing our new pieces was second to none!

Words cannot express the pleasure, the pride and the complete satisfaction that fills our hearts at this time and I know that we will forever remember how you treated us. God bless you in all your endeavors. May your business flourish and your heart find peace in your obviously God-given talent.

Rick built us a  built-in entertainment center, cabinet for our master bath and even did some repairs on an existing built-in for us. The work turned out beautifully. The style and finish were meant to match our existing cabinets, and you'd be hard-pressed to tell they weren't done at the same time. However, if you look more closely, you'll see that the craftsmanship of Rick's work is clearly a step above. We won't hesitate to recommend him to friends or use his services again in the future !

I just wanted to put in writing the experience we had with Rick's Woodworking. We found Rick through a Google search. I liked the look of the cabinets in the web gallery and decided to engage Rick to build our entertainment center. Rick came by to help us design the center and get the measurements of our TV and equipment, the rest was done in his shop in Carrollton. The new entertainment center was installed in less that an hour yesterday and it looks great. The color matches nicely with our fireplace and the new cabinet looks like it belongs there. I installed my DVD changers, TiVo's and video equipment and it all looks great.

My home is 6 years old and in my family room the television cabinet was built for an older projection TV which are no longer state of the art and I really wanted to upgrade to an HD flat screen unit. The existing cabinet beautiful and we did not want to destroy it so I sat down and sketched a cabinet to go in my cabinet which included a flat surface that a wall mounted TV could be mounted to. I had been referred to Rick's Woodworking by a friend and I called Rick to see it he could come and look at my project although it would be a very custom and not very large job. Rick came to my house and was very upfront by saying he had never done anything like that but saw my vision and said he could build exactly what I wanted and is exactly what he did. My job was installed yesterday and it looks like the cabinet was designed for a wall mounted TV from the start and looks fabulous. I am very pleased with the workmanship, the quality and especially the way they matched the existing albeit aged finish. My wife was very pleased and she like most women would be, was very concerned about having something that detracted from her dream house, but she simply said "great job". I highly recommend Rick and his staff for any project because he was able to take my idea from a new concept to him to a perfect installation in just over a week.

I was referred to him thru another friend who is a high-end builder in Dallas. My friend was right, Rick Kirkendall, who is the owner of Rick's Woodworking did a FANTASTIC job! When Rick was at my house installing the cabinet, I told him about my new business and he said GREAT! CONGRATULATIONS! Apparently, he gets "dozens" of calls on a weekly basis for work that he doesn't do as a business owner and offered to refer them to us. I know, bummer!
